About Us and Our Products
During the twenty-plus years we've been riding and
working with horses, we've experienced the downsides of various pieces of conventional tack--problems you may have
encountered yourself. Rather than resigning ourselves to frustration, we
let these experiences inspire us to design innovative gear that would solve the problems we'd
found. Unlike manufacturers whose 'new' offerings are only cosmetic
updates of a long-available product, every piece of gear we bring you
is the answer to a problem that begged for improved design. |
Our rope trail halter developed from our dissatisfaction with rope halters that left raw spots on our horses' faces, and by lead ropes that swung too much at a canter. We designed our bareback saddle because the only bareback pads we could find were flimsy and insecure. And we started making braided rope headstalls because we greatly admired the traditional Western braided rawhide headstalls, but wanted a product that was easier to care for.

All our products are designed and tested on our own horses...
then used every time we ride. |

Although we specifically support and promote "natural" horse training methods, our products can be used by anyone in any discipline.
For example, while some of our friends use their bareback saddles for dressage training, others use them for endurance rides. Some of our clients
purchase our gear with the goal of better training their horses, while
others focus more on improving their skills as riders. Our products are versatile enough to support all these
uses and many more.
Because of our emphasis on innovation, we are always open to
suggestions, new ideas, and special requests. Having a problem with your
current tack? Please write to us! And of course we love to
know about how our gear is being used, and to hear the stories of the
riders and horses who use it. |

Our
mission is entirely practical:
1. We want to make riding
safer and more fun for both horse and rider.
2. We are dedicated
to designing innovative products that promote comfort, utility,
and practical simplicity.
3. Above
all, we want to promote easy, positive communication between
horse and rider. |
